Our Competitions

Students of Birchmere Farm compete at many of the sanctioned and schooling horse trials and dressage shows throughout New England. Riders compete on their own horse or pony, one of Birchmere's schooling horses or on the horses they are leasing from Birchmere Farm. Birchmere has both horses and ponies for students to ride!

Students: Send your event placings and results to Christine.

Year 2006

July 2006: Kingsbury Hill Horse Trials

Jess Snider and Winnie the Pooh had their Training Level debut, and if not for a pilot error at the end of the cross country course, they would have finished on their dressage score.

July 2006: Stoneleigh Burnham School Horse Trials

Christine Randle and Penny Scoville competed in Novice at SBS HT. They were third after dressage but a rail down in stadium knocked them out of the ribbons. The pair stayed on track cross country (even jumping the T/P ditch) and finished one minute under time.

July 2006: Kingsbury Hill Schooling Two Phase

Christine Randle and Penny Scoville competed in Novice at the KH Schooling Two Phase finishing in fourth place on their dressage score.

April 2006: UNH Horse Trials

Penny Scoville completed her first sancitioned Novice event at UNH. Christine Randle and Penny finished with the third fastest time cross country and one of nine horse/rider combinations to jump clean in both stadium and cross country.

April 2006: Apple Knoll Farm Schooling Two Phase

Christine Randle and Penny Scoville competed in Novice at the Apple Knoll Schooling Two Phase finishing in sixth place on their dressage score.

March 2006: Jumping Branch Horse Trials

Christine Randle and Penny Scoville made the long trek to sunny South Carolina to compete at Jumping Branch HT. This was Penny's second sanctioned event and she jumped clean in her Beginner Novice division!

June 2005: GMHA (VT)

Emma Heald and Viva Las Vegas: 8th place Junior Beginner Novice

Melinda Marsten and Out of Nowhere: 4th place Training
